Our hygiene expert

Dr Kampf has specialized in the field of technical hygiene, in particular concerning flexible endoscopes. At PENTAX she has been in charge of hygiene and reprocessing since July 2004, aiming at making her scientific-based expertise available to a broad public.

Dr Kampf has a scientific background and many years of experience in the practice of hygiene:

• Winner of the Semmelweis Award 2006 (the Ignaz Philipp Semmelweis Award is a European research award and is given by the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Krankenhaushygiene (DGKH, German Society for Hospital Hygiene) in cooperation with BODE CHEMIE, Hamburg, designed to promote innovative performances in the field of applied infection control)

• Dissertation "Determination of the cleaning efficacy of processes with various cleaning agents in washer-disinfectors for flexible endoscopes"

• Thesis "Compilation of a quality management system in the framework of the supply of sterile products"

• Active cooperation in the ESGE (European Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy)

• Scientific assistant at the Technische Hygiene der Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Department of Technical Hygiene at the Charité – University Medicine Berlin)
